Oracle Linux 10 (bzw. RHEL 10) gibt es jetzt schon seit Sommer 2025, der Support für Oracle Datenbanken hat bisher aber auf sich warten lassen. Schauen wir uns den aktuellen Stand einmal an.
Oracle AI Datenbank 26ai
Schaut man in MOS in die Certification Matrix für Oracle Datenbank 23 – also für die Oracle AI Datenbank 26ai – nach, findet man folgendes:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10: 6.12.0-55.40.1.0.1.el10_0.x86_64 or later

- Virtualization and Partitioning Information:: Customers should review Supported Virtualization and Partitioning Technologies for Oracle Database and RAC Product Releases.
- O/S and O/S Patch Information:: The vendors guarantee operating system binary compatibility; therefore, no reinstall or relink of the Oracle software is required when upgrading these operating systems unless specifically stated otherwise. For more information, see Doc ID FAQ1526

Somit sollte man ab die Oracle AI Datenbank 26ai zumindest ab 23.26.2 plus Patch 39268330 auf Oracle Linux 10 installieren können. Diese Information ist seit kurzem auch in den Database Release Notes enthalten.
Oracle Datenbank 19c
In der Compatibility Matrix findet man folgende Informationen:
- Starting with Oracle Database 19c (19.32), the Red Hat Enterprise Linux x86-64 operating system is supported with the following minimum supported version: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10: 6.12.0-55.40.1.0.1.el10_0.x86_64 or later.

Hier wird Oracle Linux 10 nicht erwähnt. Schaut man jedoch in das Oracle 19c Database Installation Guide für Linux ab Version 19.32, sieht das anders aus:
Starting with Oracle Database 19c (19.32), the Linux x86-64 operating system is supported with the following minimum supported versions:
- Oracle Linux 10 with the Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel 8: 6.12.0-104.43.4.2.el10uek.x86_64 or later
- Oracle Linux 10 with the Red Hat Compatible Kernel: 6.12.0-55.40.1.0.1.el10_0.x86_64 or later
Note: Oracle recommends that you update Oracle Linux 10 to the latest available release level.
Somit ist auch für die Oracle Datenbank ab 19.32 Support für Oracle Linux 10 gegeben.

Zusammenfassung
Auch wenn es auf blogs.oracle.com noch keine offizielle Information zu finden ist, dürften die aktuellsten Versionen der Oracle Datenbank Software jetzt auf den aktuellen Oracle Linux 10 Betriebssystemen laufen.
Für Oracle 23.26.2 braucht man noch einen oneOff Patch, aber 23.26.3 (Golden Image) sollte es direkt funktionieren. Bei Oracle 19.32 muss man beim runInstaller bzw. gridSetup die oneOffs für 19.32 entsprechend mitgeben, da die 19.3 selbst nicht installierbar ist.
